A Revolution in Digital Photo Frames After what seems like an epic saga of development, debugging and caffeinated drinks we are pleased to announce the launch of www.CreateYourFrame.com. TGC Solutions was commissioned to build this easy to use website, enabling you to upload your holiday photos, or other memories. You can quickly apply special effects to the photographs, add captions and rearrange the sequence. Best of all, these images are then installed into your very own digital photo frame which is shipped directly to your door. Just plug and play! The website uses a combination of cutting edge technologies to make all this possible. Primarily, AJAX concepts are the driving force. If you need an AJAX solution or a desktop application 'webified' do not hestitate to get in touch. |

Are You Receiving Spam From Us? It has come to our attention that lots of you may have been receiving junk messages claiming to be from 'jobs@tgc-solutions.co.uk'. These messages have absolutely nothing to do with us, they have not been created, sent or even authorised by TGC Solutions. It seems we have been targetted by a spammer using email spoofing in an attempt to make his unwanted junk messages appear to be desirable content in an effort to bypass spam filters. We are an IT solutions company with specialist knowledge of computer networks, GNU/Linux and Windows servers and AJAX web applications. If you would like to discuss any of these technologies with us please find our details on the contact us page. |

Remote Support Update A major hurdle in supporting customers remotely is accessing their workstations. Traditionally, we would configure a server to tunnel through or hop from to remotely control the target workstation. While effective this approach has proved to be extremely cumbersome to the point of frustration. We have invested a great deal of time and skills in advancing the technology used in our CRM and we now posses the power to tunnel directly to the target workstations with a single click. The tunnelling approach we use is both quicker and much more secure than hopping as we were previously required to do in many scenarios. We look forward to seeing an improvement in our effectiveness from this point onwards. |

Xerox DFE Software Update After hearing word that Caldera were looking to migrate to a new Linux distribution we advised them to switch to Ubuntu. Our initial preference would have been Gentoo, which we like to use in our small business support environments, but Ubuntu offers a more sensible platform for Caldera's needs. We immediately began working on a new software build for the Xerox DFE Workstation range using Ubuntu as the operating system. Today we can proudly announce our official release of build 2007.3, ahead of Caldera's own. |

Xerox DFE Workstation Update After thorough testing dating back to October 2006 we are pleased to announce the official launch of the new DFE Workstation range. The three new RIPs are called Workstation LT, Workstation and Workstation Pro and all three benefit from a move to Intel hardware where AMD had previously been used throughout our range. Performance has been dramatically improved by this move with the base model Workstation LT now outperforming our original AMD Workstation and the new Workstation Pro exceeding anything we have previously created. |
